University Hospital Foundation was initiated in 1990 by five of Utah's leading citizens - W. Hughes Brockbank, E. R. Dumke, Jr., John W. Gallivan, John A. Reinertsen, and Joseph Rosenblatt with the purpose of increasing community awareness and financial support of the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, governed by a Board of Trustees.
Through cultivating private donations and educating the public, University Hospital Foundation contributes to the on-going success of University Health Care by supporting capital improvement projects, equipment, and programs benefiting patients and the community.
