ebony and ivory gala
Thanks for a great event!

The weather was beautiful and LaCaille as always was the perfect setting for the 6th annual Ebony & Ivory Gala on Saturday, August 25th. A menu of Italian cuisine helped lend a Venetian flair to the event along with a fun Italian soda bar and carnevale entertainers. Guests enjoyed an authentic “Italian Guido” band as they played old time favorites during the silent auction and vocalists serenaded guests during the dinner hour.

Proceeds for the event benefited the new Patient Care Pavilion construction. The Pavilion’s second floor is the future home to Women’s and Children’s Services. During the live auction, guest were invited to support the car seat program in the Women’s and Children’s Services at University Hospital. With a generous match from Mark and Kathie Miller this “raise your paddle” generated over $14,000 for this much needed program. This money will provide safe car seats for families that do not have a car seat to take their baby home from the hospital.

This year marks the one of the most successful events in Foundation history generating over $117,000 for the Patient Care Pavilion. Of course, this event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and volunteers, we cannot say thank you enough!

Join in Next Year! Mark your calendars and plan on attending the 7th annual Ebony & Ivory Gala at LaCaille on Saturday, August 23, 2007. We’ll see you there!
